Ephesians 4:22-24
“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
We all know that sin is there
Laughing with his lofty stare
Trying hard to hold my soul
Keeping me from God… his goal.
We all know he tempts our fate
Chuckling at our petty hate
Nothing offered relieves our guilt
Toss aside what we have built.
Where is God in all of this?
Why does he forsake our bliss?
Questions that we all must ask
Somehow I have gone off task.
In the Word I find myself
Comforted with inner wealth
Not forsaken … Not forgot
It’s my faith that seals my lot.
Find yourself within His arms
Protected from the tempting charms
All along like Spring renewed
God is right in front of you.
